Repeal and replacement of section 105.270 regarding military leave for public employees in Missouri, including state, county, municipal, school district, and other public agency employees.

Employees who are National Guard or Armed Forces Reserve members receive leave without loss of pay, regular leave, efficiency rating, or other benefits for state military duty under the governor and adjutant general with no time limit, and for federal military duty up to 120 hours per federal fiscal year.

Employees may choose to use any combination of accrued annual leave, compensatory time, paid military leave, or unpaid leave during military service absences.

Military leave charges apply only for hours the employee would otherwise have been required to work, with one hour as the minimum charge and additional charges in one-hour increments.

Prohibits discharge, discrimination, or retaliation against organized militia members; violations by public agency officers or agents constitute a misdemeanor.
