Creates three new crimes under Missouri law (sections 565.076, 565.077, and 565.078) specifically targeting assault of mass transit system employees while performing their duties.

First-degree assault occurs when a person attempts to kill or knowingly causes serious physical injury to a mass transit employee and is classified as a class B felony.

Second-degree assault includes seven specific scenarios ranging from using deadly weapons to causing injury through intoxication or criminal negligence; classified as class C felony except for four subdivisions which are class B felonies.

Third-degree assault covers recklessly causing physical injury, purposely placing an employee in apprehension of immediate injury, or knowingly causing physical contact without consent; classified as a class B misdemeanor.

Defines "mass transit system" to include employees of public bus and light rail companies.
