Repeals and replaces section 558.016, RSMo, to redefine sentencing provisions for prior offenders, persistent offenders, dangerous offenders, and persistent misdemeanor offenders.

Defines "persistent misdemeanor offender" as one who pleaded guilty to or was found guilty of two or more class A or B misdemeanors committed at different times, under specified Missouri statute chapters (195, 455, 565-577).

Expands the list of statute chapters defining persistent misdemeanor offenses to include chapter 577 (previously chapter 576 was the final chapter listed).

Allows courts to sentence persistent misdemeanor offenders to terms of imprisonment authorized by section 558.011 or statutes governing the offense.

Maintains enhanced sentencing provisions for persistent offenders and dangerous offenders, with maximum prison terms elevated by one felony class (e.g., class D felony sentencing authorized up to class C felony maximum).
