Senate Bill 940 - Bingo Regulation Amendments

• Adds definition of "bingo card monitoring device" as a technology aid allowing players to electronically monitor bingo numbers on stored cards, with restrictions on financial transactions and communication capabilities.

• Increases abbreviated licensing occasions from four to fifteen annually for organizations conducting pull-tab only bingo games, with reduced fee of ten dollars per event.

• Increases regular bingo days from one to two days per week for licensed organizations.

• Changes reporting requirements from annual to quarterly for regular licensees and special licensees conducting more than three occasions per calendar year.

• Reduces record retention requirement from three years to two years for bingo game records, except those designated for one-year retention by regulation.

• Increases manufacturer and supplier license fees: manufacturer application fee up to five thousand dollars and annual renewal up to one thousand dollars; supplier annual renewal increased to one thousand dollars.

• Modifies advertising expenditure limit from two percent to ten percent of total bingo receipts.
