Repeals and replaces section 21.155 of Missouri Revised Statutes relating to legislative employees.

Each representative and each senator may employ one legislator assistant during any session of the general assembly, replacing the previous authorization for one stenographer or secretary.

Senate accounts committee retains authority to employ and assign additional employees necessary for senate operations.

House of representatives remainder officers and employees (except elective officers) shall be selected by members of the majority party.

Requires senate and house accounts committees to set total employee numbers annually on January 15th, considering pay rates and appropriations.
