Health carriers must file all rates and supplementary rate information with the director of the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration before using them in Missouri, effective January 1, 2012.

Rate filings must be submitted in the form and manner prescribed by the director, with the director notifying insurers within 30 days if required information is missing.

All filed rates and supplementary rate information must be open to public inspection at reasonable times, with copies available to any person upon request and payment of a reasonable fee for time and supplies.

Defines "health carrier" and "health benefit plan" according to existing definitions in section 376.1350 of Missouri law.
