Grants immunity from civil and criminal liability to any person, official, or institution that reports suspected child abuse, neglect, or assault to appropriate authorities, law enforcement, courts, or child-protective agencies.

Extends immunity to those who take color photographs, conduct radiologic examinations, remove or retain a child, or cooperate with law enforcement and other agencies in connection with child abuse investigations.

Provides immunity for third parties whose actions result from notifications of suspected abuse made by others to medical institutions, school facilities, or public or private agencies.

Eliminates immunity protections for anyone who intentionally files a false report, acts in bad faith, or acts with ill intent.

Extends immunity protections to participation in any judicial proceedings resulting from the report.
