Combat action badge recipients may apply for special personalized license plates bearing "COMBAT ACTION" instead of "SHOW-ME STATE" with a white background, blue and red configuration, combat action badge image, and fully reflective material.

An additional fee of $15 is charged for combat action badge plates, with no additional personalization fee, and no limit on the number of plates a qualified person may obtain for vehicles they own.

Combat action badge plates are non-transferable except that registered co-owners may operate the vehicle for the duration of the licensing year upon the badge recipient's death.

The Nixa Education Foundation may authorize use of its official emblem on personalized specialty license plates with annual $15 emblem-use contributions, with plates bearing "NIXA EDUCATION FOUNDATION" instead of "SHOW-ME STATE."

Prior to issuance of Nixa Education Foundation plates, the Department of Revenue must receive at least 200 applications, proposed design, and an application fee not to exceed $5,000 to defray implementation costs.
