Increases individual award maximum from thirty thousand dollars to fifty thousand dollars per year for research projects funded by the University of Missouri Board of Curators

Awards expire at the end of one or two years based on advisory board recommendations

Overhead costs for grantee individuals or institutions are not allowed

Preference is given to investigators new to Alzheimer's disease research and those experienced researchers transitioning to different research directions, with lesser preference for sustaining ongoing meritorious research

All research projects must be conducted in Missouri and awards are intended to obtain preliminary data for testing hypotheses and developing applications for long-term funding from other sources
