Creates new section 550.500 requiring convicted persons (guilty plea, trial conviction, or probation/parole revocation) to pay investigation and prosecution costs imposed by the court as part of judgment.

Sets cost ranges of $50-$300 for misdemeanor cases and probation/parole revocation hearings, and $100-$750 for felony cases, unless prosecutor provides detailed documentation justifying higher amounts.

Requires courts to impose costs regardless of defendant's ability to pay, with payment due within specified timeframes: by end of probation/parole period, or within 5 years of sentencing if no probation/parole is ordered; unpaid obligations do not expire.

Allows costs to be collected through any legal enforcement method and makes payment a condition of probation or parole, with revocation possible for non-payment; probation revocation requires evidentiary hearing showing willful refusal or failure to make bona fide payment efforts.

Amends section 559.021 to explicitly authorize courts to order payment of prosecutorial and investigative costs under the new section as a probation condition.
