State Board of Education must create rules limiting extracurricular activity participation and practice during the school day and week, preserving the school day for academic activities without interruption.

School districts must follow State Board rules when scheduling extracurricular activities and practices.

Students are subject to school district policy and Missouri State High School Activities Association rules only when under direct supervision of a school employee or at times specified by board resolution.

Students must be suspended from extracurricular activities for one grading period after receiving a failing grade in any academic course; suspension continues until the student achieves passing grades in all classes or the school year ends.

Students with disabilities are evaluated for suspension based on failure to meet their individualized education program requirements, as determined by their admission, review, and dismissal committee.
