NRA members may obtain specialty personalized license plates featuring the National Rifle Association emblem after paying a $25 annual emblem-use fee to the NRA and a $25 fee to the Director of Revenue in addition to regular registration fees.

The NRA emblem shall be displayed on the license plate in a manner prescribed by the Director of Revenue, with fully reflective material, white background, and aesthetically attractive design consistent with standard Missouri license plates.

Prior to issuing NRA specialty plates, the Department of Revenue must receive an application with a list of at least 200 potential applicants, proposed plate design, and an application fee not to exceed $5,000 to cover development and implementation costs.

Vehicle owners who previously received an NRA emblem plate but do not provide an emblem-use authorization statement at subsequent registration shall receive a standard license plate without the emblem.

NRA specialty plates cannot be redesigned unless the organization pays the Director of Revenue in advance for all redesigned plate fees, and members choosing new designs must pay replacement fees as prescribed in law.
