Department of Elementary and Secondary Education must establish a work group by September 1, 2012 to assess resources needed for work experiences for youth with disabilities.

Work group shall review interagency coordination of services for employment assistance including recruitment, assessment, counseling, pre-employment skills training, vocational training, student wages for try-out employment, placement in unsubsidized employment, and transition assistance.

Work group shall evaluate current efforts, promote stakeholder involvement including students, families, educators, and employers, and assess services for secondary students with disabilities, adults with disabilities, and individuals with barriers to school completion.

Department of Elementary and Secondary Education shall make recommendations based on work group findings and report to the general assembly prior to January 1, 2013.

This act expires on January 1, 2013.
