Bans abortions performed solely because the unborn child has been diagnosed with Down syndrome or any genetic abnormality, including physical disabilities, mental disabilities, dwarfism, albinism, or scoliosis

Violations constitute a class A misdemeanor, with performing a prohibited abortion classified as a class D felony

Physicians violating the act face medical license suspension or revocation, civil liability for actual and punitive damages, and statutory damages equal to three times the abortion cost

Women upon whom prohibited abortions are performed cannot be prosecuted or held civilly liable, and are entitled to crime victim protections with their anonymity preserved in civil proceedings
