MO HealthNet has required enrollees in eastern, central, and western Missouri regions to access healthcare services through managed care organizations since 1995.

Missouri policy has historically encouraged competition by contracting with multiple willing and able managed care organizations to benefit enrollees and the state.

Limiting the number of participating managed care organizations would reduce enrollee choices, decrease competition among providers, and limit healthcare providers' options.

Urges the MO HealthNet Division to continue allowing all qualified managed care organizations to participate in the program.

Directs the Commissioner of Administration to award contracts to all managed care providers who submitted timely proposals under Requests for Proposals No. B3Z12055 and demonstrated ability to provide required services.
