MO HJR51

Increases the Missouri Conservation Commission from 4 members to 8 members appointed by the governor with Senate approval.

Reduces the maximum number of members from the same political party from two to four.

Requires each commission member to reside in a different region according to the conservation commission's eight-region map as of December 1, 2011.

Limits members to a maximum of two terms or 12 years, whichever occurs first, and staggers terms so no more than three terms end in the same year.

Submits the amendment to Missouri voters at the general election on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November 2012, or at a special election called by the governor.
