Prohibits hospitals from requiring physicians to agree to make referrals to that hospital or hospital-affiliated facilities as a condition of receiving medical staff membership or privileges.

Prevents hospitals from refusing, conditioning, or limiting medical staff membership or privileges based on a physician's affiliation with, ownership interest in, or leadership position at another hospital, hospital system, or health care facility.

Extends protections to physicians' partners, associates, employees, and family members who have similar affiliations or interests at competing facilities.

Prohibits hospitals and hospital systems from denying participatory status in health plans based on a physician's or their related parties' affiliations with other hospitals or health care facilities.
