Beginning in 2016 and thereafter, candidates for governor and lieutenant governor must be nominated and elected jointly as a single ticket, with voters casting one vote for the pair

Joint nomination requirements apply to both petition and convention nominations, with each petition signature and convention vote made for the governor-lieutenant governor team running together

Maintains existing provisions that no person may be elected governor or treasurer more than twice and limits succession after serving more than two years of another person's term

Preserves existing four-year terms for governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state treasurer, and attorney general at presidential elections
