Beginning January 1, 2014, the Missouri Department of Transportation has authority to set license plate fees in amounts it deems appropriate and the General Assembly deems reasonable.

Beginning January 1, 2014, the Missouri Department of Transportation has authority to set driver's license fees in amounts it deems appropriate.

The Department of Transportation may promulgate rules and regulations necessary to administer both fee-setting authorities under Chapter 536.

Any rules created under this authority become effective only if they comply with Chapter 536 provisions and are subject to General Assembly review, delay, or disapproval powers.

The rulemaking authority and any rules adopted after August 28, 2013 are void if the General Assembly's powers to review, delay, or annul rules are held unconstitutional.
