Military members separating with honorable or general discharge receive student resident status for in-state tuition at Missouri public four-year institutions or in-state, in-district tuition at two-year institutions.

Eligible individuals must demonstrate presence within Missouri, or within the specific taxing district for community college attendance.

Tuition assistance under this section applies only after all other federal and state financial aid has been applied, with combined aid capped at actual cost of attendance.

The Coordinating Board for Higher Education shall promulgate rules to implement the residency provision.

Public institutions of higher education cannot require National Guard members to take tests or assessments within 24 hours of returning from active duty or training ("Clark's Law").
