Extends the sunset date for exception (18) regarding operational guidelines and policies for responding to critical incidents of a terrorist nature from December 31, 2012 to December 31, 2016

Extends the sunset date for exception (19) regarding existing or proposed security systems and structural plans of real property owned or leased by public governmental bodies from December 31, 2012 to December 31, 2016

Maintains requirements that public governmental bodies affirmatively state in writing that disclosure would impair their ability to protect safety and that the public interest in nondisclosure outweighs the public interest in disclosure

Declares the act an emergency measure to take effect upon passage and approval to provide clear guidance to law enforcement, school boards, and other public bodies regarding security records under the Sunshine Law
