Repeals and reenacts sections 488.040 and 494.455 of Missouri law relating to juror compensation and jury costs.

Establishes base juror compensation at six dollars per day plus seven cents per mile for travel, with state reimbursement of six dollars per day if counties provide at least six dollars in additional compensation, bringing total to at least eighteen dollars per day.

Allows counties and cities to authorize additional daily compensation and mileage allowances for jurors, paid from local funds, except in first-class counties without charter government and population of at least 200,000 inhabitants.

Adds provision allowing courts in civil cases to order that all jury costs including compensation, mileage, meals, and lodging be taxed against and paid by the party against whom judgment is made.

Requires the board of jury commissioners to submit statements of earned fees to the governing body within thirty days after each jury panel completes service, with payment due within thirty days of submission.
