Director of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations shall appoint a 15-member Equal Pay Commission by January 1, 2014.

Commission membership includes 2 business representatives, 2 labor organization representatives, 2 pay equity advocates, 3 higher education/research experts, the Attorney General or designee, the Labor Director or designee, 2 state Senators, and 2 state Representatives.

Commission shall study wage disparities by gender and race in public and private sectors, factors causing disparities, economic consequences, and proposed legislative solutions.

Commission must submit a comprehensive report with findings and recommendations to the Labor Director, legislative leaders, and Governor within 12 months of member appointments.
