Increases minimum prison sentences for armed criminal action from 3 years to 20 years for first offense, 5 years to 30 years for second offense, and 10 years to life imprisonment for third or subsequent offenses.

Expands armed criminal action to apply to both felonies and misdemeanors committed with or through the use of a dangerous instrument or deadly weapon.

Changes language from "conviction" to "a finding of guilt or a plea of guilty or nolo contendere" to clarify application to guilty pleas and bench trials.

Requires sentences for armed criminal action to be imposed consecutively (in addition to) sentences for the underlying crime, and eliminates parole, probation, conditional release, and suspended sentencing eligibility for the mandatory minimum periods.

Repeals the exemption that previously excluded armed criminal action charges for certain felonies defined in sections 564.590, 564.610, 564.620, 564.630, and 564.640.
