Repeals and replaces section 105.456, RSMo, relating to conflicts of interest for legislators and statewide elected officials.

Prohibits statewide elected officials and General Assembly members from acting, serving, or registering as a legislative lobbyist within one year after leaving office.

Applies to all statewide elected officials and General Assembly members elected to their first term on or after November 2, 2014.

Retains existing prohibitions on public officials performing services, selling property, or attempting to influence state agencies for compensation outside official duties, with exceptions for certain legal proceedings and public documents.

Maintains criminal penalties under sections 576.010 and 576.020 for offering or accepting bribes involving paid employment in exchange for official votes.
