State departments and agencies receiving federal supplements must notify the governor, speaker pro tem of the senate, speaker of the house, secretary of the senate, and chief clerk of the house within 30 days of being notified of any federal fine or penalty that reduces their funding.

Notifications must include the fine or penalty amount, the reason for the fine or penalty, corrective actions being taken, and whether an appeal is planned or underway.

State departments and agencies must provide written notification of appeal outcomes within 30 days of resolution to the same recipients listed above.

The secretary of the senate and chief clerk of the house must notify all members of their respective chambers about receipt of notifications and provide copies of all notification information upon request.
