• Modifies early retirement benefit calculations for public school employees by extending sunset dates for enhanced retirement allowance formulas from July 1, 2013 to unspecified future dates

• Maintains existing requirements for ABCTE certificate holders including mentoring programs, professional development completion (30 contact hours within four years), performance-based evaluation, and beginning teacher assistance programs

• Preserves exemptions from teacher tenure act for certain certificate holders and allows school districts decision-making authority on hiring individuals with specialized banking or financial responsibility certifications
