Department of Corrections must require every correctional facility and center in Missouri to establish and maintain a produce garden staffed by inmates.

Gardens are excluded from the vocational enterprise program under section 217.550 but receive support equivalent to vocational industries under section 217.565.

Harvested produce must be used at the facility where it was grown to supplement offender food supplies.

Any unused edible produce remaining after offender consumption must be donated to local food pantries or other charitable organizations.
