State legislature occupies and preempts entire field of firearms legislation to the complete exclusion of local ordinances, making any existing or future local regulations null and void with limited exceptions

Political subdivisions prohibited from adopting ordinances concerning sale, purchase, transfer, ownership, use, possession, bearing, transportation, licensing, permit, registration, or taxation (other than sales and use taxes) of firearms, components, ammunition, and supplies

Local ordinances may still regulate discharge of firearms within jurisdiction if they comply with section 252.243 and incorporate all justification defenses provided under chapter 563

Lawful design, marketing, manufacture, distribution, or sale of firearms or ammunition is not an abnormally dangerous activity and does not constitute a public or private nuisance

Political subdivisions prohibited from bringing lawsuits against firearms or ammunition manufacturers, trade associations, or dealers for damages or injunctive relief related to lawful design, manufacture, marketing, distribution, or sale, except for individual negligent or defective design claims
