SB 304 Summary

• Repeals and replaces section 334.715, RSMo regarding disciplinary actions against athletic trainers' licenses

• Adds indefinite license restriction as a disciplinary option, allowing the board to restrict or limit a person's license for an indefinite period of time

• Establishes grounds for disciplinary action including violations of athletic trainer regulations, unethical conduct per National Athletic Trainers Association standards, and causes listed in section 334.100

• Authorizes the board to impose various penalties including probation (up to 10 years), suspension (up to 3 years), public or private reprimand, license denial, permanent withholding, required continuing education, indefinite restriction, or revocation

• Permits the board to bar license reinstatement for 2 to 7 years following revocation and requires continuing education before restoring licenses inactive for more than 2 years
