Directs the State Historical Society of Missouri to develop plans, ideas, and proposals to commemorate and celebrate Missouri's bicentennial in 2021, marking 200 years since the state's admission to the Union on August 10, 1821

Instructs the State Historical Society of Missouri to provide guidance and direction to a statewide effort promoting and celebrating Missouri's history through and beyond the 2021 bicentennial celebration

Recognizes the State Historical Society of Missouri, established in 1898 and authorized by statute (Chapter 183), as the trustee responsible for collecting, preserving, and sharing materials documenting Missouri history

Notes that the Society aspires to build the Center for Missouri Studies and acknowledges that statewide commemorations require significant multi-year preparation and planning

Directs the Secretary of the Missouri Senate to prepare an inscribed copy of the resolution for the director of the State Historical Society of Missouri
