Missouri Senate and House of Representatives ratify the Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution, which prohibits denial of equal rights under law on account of sex.

The proposed amendment was sent to states for ratification on March 22, 1972, with Congress setting a deadline of June 30, 1982, by which thirty-five states ratified it.

Resolution asserts Congress may lack constitutional authority to place a deadline on the ratification process under Article V of the United States Constitution.

Secretary of the Senate shall send inscribed copies of the resolution to the U.S. Archivist, Vice President, Speaker of the House, and Missouri's Congressional delegation for printing in the Congressional Record.
