MO SJR14

Repeals and replaces Section 23 of Article I of the Missouri Constitution to modify the right to keep and bear arms language.

Removes the clause "[but this shall not justify the wearing of concealed weapons]" from the current constitutional provision.

Adds language declaring that the rights to keep and bear arms are "unalienable" and obligates the state of Missouri to protect these rights against infringement under all circumstances.

Submits the amendment to qualified voters at the November 2014 general election or at a special election called by the governor.

Sets the official ballot title as "Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to include a declaration that the right to keep and bear arms is a unalienable right and that the state government is obligated to uphold that right?"
