Persons with suspended licenses due to child support arrearage may apply in writing to the director of revenue for limited driving privileges.

Director may grant limited driving privileges if the person needs to operate a vehicle for employment, medical treatment, school attendance, or other circumstances creating undue hardship.

Applicants granted limited driving privileges must submit a $2,000 fee within ten days toward their child support arrearage, or all driving privileges are immediately revoked.

Limited driving privileges terminate upon conviction of traffic violations assessed points (except municipal stop sign violations without accidents), failure to maintain proof of financial responsibility, or at the end of the suspension period.

Commercial driver's license holders are ineligible for limited driving privileges for commercial vehicle operation; persons denied privileges may request circuit court review within thirty days.
