MO HB1300

Repeals and replaces Section 321.200, RSMo, regarding fire protection district board meetings.

Requires fire protection district boards to meet regularly at least once monthly, with notice posted at firehouses and meetings conducted under Chapter 610 provisions.

Allows a quorum of the board to meet via in-person, telephone, facsimile, internet, or other electronic means without public notice when Missouri Task Force One or any Urban Search and Rescue Task Force is activated for federal, state, or mutual aid deployment.

Permits emergency meetings to authorize disbursement of funds necessary for task force deployment by roll call vote during such activations.

Requires the board to document emergency meetings in minutes and disclose at the next regular meeting that an emergency meeting occurred, the action that necessitated it, and that minutes are available as public records.
