Repeals section 565.084 and enacts four new sections (565.500, 565.505, 565.510, and 565.515) to create state-level offenses against officers of the state and their families.

Defines "officer of the state" to include members of the general assembly, judges, prosecutors, probation/parole officers, holders of elected state office, agency/department/division directors, state board members, and designated decision-making public servants.

Establishes enhanced criminal penalties for assaults, kidnapping, murder, and threats against officers of the state or their families, ranging from class C to class A felonies, with death penalty authorized for murder.

Creates separate offenses for threatening to assault (class D felony) or threatening to kidnap/murder (class C felony) officers of the state or former officers and their families.

Establishes class D felony for conveying or making threats to kill, kidnap, or harm officers of the state through letters, documents, or direct communication, and class C felony for tampering with an officer of the state through threats, force, deception, or harassment.
