Home school students may participate in school district interscholastic activities (athletics, music, speech, and other extracurricular activities) if they meet all eligibility requirements except school attendance and association class/enrollment requirements.

Home school students must submit written notice to the school superintendent before practice commences, reside within the school's attendance boundaries, and have their teacher certify compliance with Missouri compulsory education laws via affidavit.

Home school student participation cannot deprive other enrolled students of opportunities to participate, and participating home school students must meet the same behavior standards, performance standards, and practice requirements as other team members.

Public school students who lose academic eligibility cannot participate as home school students the following semester unless their teacher certifies they have regained academic eligibility.

School districts are prohibited from holding membership in any organization that discriminates against home school students in interscholastic activities.
