Adds "animal control officer" to the list of protected individuals under Missouri's assault statutes (sections 565.081, 565.082, and 565.083).

Assault of an animal control officer in the first degree (attempting to kill or causing serious physical injury) remains a class A felony.

Assault of an animal control officer in the second degree is a class B felony (or class C felony for certain circumstances) with mandatory jail time required for specific violations.

Assault of an animal control officer in the third degree (reckless or purposeful conduct causing physical injury or apprehension thereof, or unauthorized physical contact) is a class A misdemeanor.
