Maintains fifty percent reduction in benefits when an employee violates employer drug-free workplace policies and sustains injury while using alcohol or nonprescribed controlled drugs.

Preserves existing provisions regarding forfeiture of benefits for intentional self-inflicted injuries, injuries from recreational activities, and mental injuries from work-related stress.

Protects firefighters' ability to receive psychological stress benefits under section 287.067, preventing diminishment by the bill's mental injury provisions.
