Life insurance producers limited to policies with initial face amounts of $15,000 or less (or annuities of $15,000 or less) designated for funeral or burial expenses are exempt from continuing education requirements.

Changes the previous threshold amounts from $5,000 for life insurance policies and $10,000 for annuities to a uniform $15,000 limit for both.

Requires insurers entering into written agreements with these exempt producers to certify the producers' representations to the director.

All other insurance producers must complete 16 hours of continuing education every two years, covering Missouri law, products, duties, and business ethics.

Excess education hours can be carried forward to the next two-year period, and the director may grant extensions or waivers for medical hardship, military service, overseas residence, or producers age 70 and older.
