Requires the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to produce a simplified school report card separate from the existing school improvement program report card for informational purposes only.

First simplified report cards must be distributed before December 1, 2015, in an 8.5 by 11 inch format showing overall scores and letter grades for each applicable standard and component.

School principals may include a statement up to 250 words providing context on school performance, including third grade reading proficiency percentages and links to dual credit, advanced placement, entrepreneurship, alternative, virtual, and remedial programs.

Schools scoring below 70 percent overall on their annual performance report must submit an action plan to the department describing improvement steps for the next academic year.

Applies to all public school attendance centers and charter schools except those containing only grades lower than third grade.
