School boards in provisionally accredited and unaccredited school districts, as well as those with buildings performing at unaccredited levels, must enter into a contract with the State Board of Education committing to specified interventions for each school building.

When a contract is executed, the State Board of Education shall not accredit such district at a level below provisionally accredited for the duration of the contract term.

Contracts must require intensive professional development for all board members, administrators, and teachers in the affected districts.

When deemed necessary by the State Board of Education, contracts shall include provisions requiring school districts to engage community partners to support school improvement projects within thirty days of contract execution.

If a school district fails to engage community partners within the thirty-day requirement, the contract becomes null and void.
