Establishes a 12-member Joint Interim Committee on Health Care Workforce Development with 6 members from the Senate and 6 from the House, appointed by respective chamber leadership with minority party representation.

Committee shall study Missouri's present and future health care workforce shortages, the ability of the current workforce to meet citizen needs, student enrollment in medical and nursing schools, and historical data on whether graduates stay in or leave the state.

Committee shall identify methods to encourage retention and recruitment of physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals in Missouri and may consult with state departments, universities, colleges, private citizens, and other organizations.

Committee must submit a report to the General Assembly by December 31, 2014, containing findings and recommendations for attracting and maintaining a strong health care workforce.

Committee provisions expire January 1, 2015.
