Repeals and reenacts section 483.015, RSMo, to modify circuit clerk appointment procedures in the thirty-second judicial circuit.

Circuit clerk in the thirty-second judicial circuit shall be appointed by a majority of circuit judges and associate circuit judges of the circuit court, en banc, rather than elected by county voters.

Appointed circuit clerk in the thirty-second judicial circuit is removable for cause by a majority of circuit judges and associate circuit judges, in accordance with supreme court administrative rules governing court personnel.

Circuit clerk elected and in office on August 28, 2014, in the thirty-second judicial circuit shall continue to hold office for the remainder of their elected term before appointment process takes effect.
