Expands the definition of weapons covered under disarming charges to include deadly weapons and less-lethal weapons (blunt impact, chemical, or conducted energy devices) in addition to firearms.

Makes it illegal to either remove a weapon from an officer's person or deprive an officer of the use of such weapons while acting within official duties.

Provides exceptions when the defendant did not know or could not reasonably know the person was a peace officer or correctional officer.

Provides an exception when the officer was engaged in felonious conduct at the time of disarming.

Maintains the offense as a class C felony.
