Recognizes that good oral health is critical to overall health, affecting speech, nutrition, growth, social development, employability, and quality of life

Declares August as "Oral Health Awareness Month" to draw attention to efforts at local, state, and federal levels to improve oral health

Supports state and local health policies that promote optimal oral health and consideration of oral health impact in state policy development

Supports community oral health initiatives aimed at improving oral health literacy and health outcomes, particularly for low-income children in the MO HealthNet program

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives to provide an inscribed copy of this resolution to the Missouri Dental Association
