Senate Bill No. 572 Summary

• Repeals and replaces sections 191.765, 191.767, 191.769, 191.771, 191.775, and 191.776 of Missouri law relating to the indoor clean air act

• Prohibits smoking in public places and public meetings, and within 15 feet of any entrance to a public place or public meeting

• Eliminates provisions allowing designated smoking areas in public places, including the previous allowances for bars, taverns, and small restaurants

• Maintains smoking bans in elementary and secondary schools, school buses, and child care facilities licensed by the department of health and senior services

• Removes exceptions for enclosed arenas and stadiums with seating capacity over 15,000 persons
