Missouri would transition from requiring two license plates to issuing only one rear license plate for most motor vehicles, effective August 28, 2015

Land improvement contractors' commercial motor vehicles would receive one distinctive plate instead of a set, with a $350 annual registration fee and 80,000-pound maximum gross weight

Trailers, motorcycles, motortricycles, and motorscooters would continue displaying their single plate on the rear of the vehicle
