Repeals and replaces section 192.667, RSMo, to modify nosocomial infection data collection and reporting requirements for hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers.

Removes the deadline of "within one year of August 28, 1992" for ambulatory surgical centers to provide patient abstract data and removes the deadline of "no later than July 1, 2005" for the department to promulgate infection reporting rules.

Changes subsection 12 to replace "Ventilator-associated pneumonia" with "Ventilator-associated events" as a required type of infection to be monitored and publicly reported.

Adds new subsection 18 requiring hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers to establish antibiotic stewardship programs by January 15, 2015, with antibiotic use reporting beginning January 1, 2015, and antibiotic resistant infection reporting beginning January 1, 2016.

Directs the department to use CDC National Healthcare Safety Network methodologies for antibiotic stewardship data collection and to consider recommendations from the infection control advisory panel when promulgating related rules.
