Strongly urges the National Park Service not to implement the proposed general management plan for the Ozark National Scenic Riverways that would restrict public access points, eliminate motorized boat traffic in certain areas, reduce boat motor horsepower, close gravel bars, and designate additional federal wilderness areas

Opposes the National Park Service's "Preferred Alternative" option, stating it does not align with Missouri's original intent for the riverways established in 1964

Urges the Department of the Interior to negotiate with the Missouri Department of Conservation for the return of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways to state control so the land continues to be used for its original purpose

Cites concerns that further access restrictions would harm rural tourism, which generates significant tax revenue from hikers, campers, boaters, hunters, fishermen, and horseback riders

Directs the Missouri Senate Secretary to distribute copies of this resolution to the President Pro Tempore of the U.S. Senate, Speaker of the U.S. House, U.S. Department of Interior Secretary, Missouri's Congressional Delegation, the National Park Service Director, and Governor Jay Nixon
